The religion Christianity played a large role in the lives of the medieval people of Europe. Anyone, pheasants, nobles, lords, and kings all had their lives dominated by the Church from birth to death. People used to find Christianity a threat because it cause people to not worship the Emperor and the Roman Gods. But, this all ended when the Roman Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity and helped it become one of the main religions in Rome. When the Dark Ages started it saw the growth in the power of the Christian Church which was also called the Catholic Religion. The Monks, the member of a religious community sometimes under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Missionaries, people sent on religious missions spread Christianity throughout Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire.
